Cleanse

The actual artwork in Jim’s studio.

The cool morning sea surrounded her feet, leaving small depressions in the smooth, soft sand. Swell after swell crashed heavy close to shore, spraying mist high into the air, and behind it the early sun burned bright and hot through a waning storm. She breathed deep and dove into the wash, letting it cleanse yesterday’s stresses from her mind, body, and soul, readying her for the new day ahead.
